| This is the color that is quickly taking over the outside scene. But, we will rejoice in it...right? It seems that this week has gotten away from me. The weekend, as well, was pretty busy. What with preparing for trick or treaters and all, Saturday went by very fast. Although we didn't have as many trick or treaters as usual. We even have leftover candy...which almost never happens. Monday, I spent a good part of the day at home working on an assignment given by my boss. It's mostly done, but I'm struggling with one part of it. So, pray that I will find the answers before I have to turn it in. Yesterday, there was an author on campus. Her name is Donna VanLiere. She's the one who wrote The Christmas Shoes. I was able to go hear her in chapel and attend a tea which she spoke at. She has a wonderful ability to bring her experiences and make them fit what you're going through. She had a great impact on me. I bought one of her books entitled Finding Grace. I'll let you know how good it is once I've read it. Maybe, I'll gift it to some of you! It's time to go back to work. Have a great Wednesday!! | | |
| I thought I should use a color to represent the season we are in! There isn't much to report for the last two days... Wednesday evening was choir practice. Then, afterward, I went to Tim Horton's with Debbie and Ruth Book. I haven't had much time to see friends since we've had a wedding to put together. But, now I do!!So, we talked for a while and then I took Ruth home and talked some more. I got home around 10:15p.m.... very late for me. It was 11:00 before I went to bed!! Yesterday was work. Then, I came home and went out to the backyard for some leaf clean-up. Boy were there a lot of leaves!! Today, it looks like we need to try again...disheartening!! How did this happen?! As we were finishing up, Lindsey came to pick up some shirts that Michelle had borrowed while she was here. We decided to order from Colonial for supper. It was very good! I'm having leftovers for lunch today!! Then, I helped Lindsey put some papers in Alphabetical order so it wouldn't take her so long to enter the grades into her computer notebooks. After she left, I watched a little t.v. and then went to bed! I'm not sure if we have anything going tonight. Maybe we'll finally celebrate our anniversary!! Tomorrow, I'm meeting up with Betsey Early for breakfast. Then, we're heading to the church to decorate my "new" sunday school room. (It's actually in the place where I first taught this age group. I will now, again, be teaching the 3rd and 4th graders.) After that, I'll be meeting up with Trisha and her kids to do some grocery shopping over in Beavercreek! In the evening is trick or treat here in Cedarville. Kayla can hardly wait!!! Have a GREAT Halloween weekend!! | | |
| There has been a lot of people here when I came home for lunch the last two weeks. Therefore Xanga got pushed to the "later" status. But, now they have all gone home...very sad...and very quiet. I wish they were back. I'd gladly give up Xanga for the company!! The wedding was very nice! Except for "Evil Wedding Woman" (AKA the wedding coordinator) everything went very nicely. The little ones pranced down the aisle looking very cute. They were all supposed to be singing This is the Day but only Elijah managed to pull that off as he pulled Judah in the wagon. The rest walked down the aisle without any crying and Gianna did remember to put her flower petals down for Aunt Kim to walk on. They were sooo CUTE!! Then, their dads helped get them to the play room for the rest of the ceremony...YAY for the dads!! And even without naps, they all behaved very well for the rest of the day. GREAT KIDS!! After Kim and Kevin left, it was time for clean up. We took care of all the rooms and the leftovers on the candy table, but the kitchen hadn't been addressed yet. So, I went in and took care of the coffee and all the stuff that went with it. Just as I was finishing up, here came "Evil Wedding Woman" saying that she was going to take care of everything. TOO LATE!! I thanked her for all her help anyway. She mumbled something under her breath, but I just wished her well and left. After that, we dropped all the gifts at Kim's apartment, gave the key to the Rachel Jansen (so she could care for Kali for the week), and left for home...aaahhhhhh!! We arrived home around 10:00...EXHAUSTED!! It still took us a while to get everyone situated for sleeping, but we managed to get to bed by midnight. Yesterday was church, naps and then back to church for a business meeting. After church we stopped and got some laundry soap, and dinner at Panera. Then, we headed home to meet up with Trisha, Kyle, and her kids. Trisha's car was still here. They stayed for about 45 minutes before heading home. I watched a little t.v. before heading to bed. Gotta go! I have a meeting with a salesman!! | | |
| This afternoon I am flying down to Michelle's. Then, tomorrow, we are driving back. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we'll have good driving weather. Neither one of us wants to drive in the rain. We'll have to wait and see.My back is still pretty sore, so sitting for long periods of time is going to be hard. Actually, the sitting won't be hard...it's the standing that is the problem. Going from sitting to standing is a real feat!! Not much happening here at work today. I have a meeting at 1:00 with my supervisors, but that's all that's on my calendar. Hopefully, nothing will come up at 2:45 when I am supposed to leave!! Have a great Tuesday! | | |
